Personal Social Services Adult Social Care Survey, England - 2018-19 [PAS] shows that 43.7% of service users reported they had never tried to find information or advice about support and services in the past year, this was a statistically significant increase from 25.8 per cent in 2017-18.
Of those that tried to find information, 31.3 per cent (198,040) found it very easy and 38.4 per cent (242,910) found is fairly easy to find. 11.4 per cent (72,340) found information very difficult to find.
Service users in residential care settings reporting information and advice about support and services was very easy to find was a higher proportion (45.2 per cent, 58,460) than residents in nursing care (34.7 per cent, 15,300) and community (31 per cent, 124,280) settings. Community residents report the highest proportion of service users (12.7 per cent, 58,170) that find it very hard to find information about support, services or benefits.
