Sue has an NHS and Learning & Development background.
She is the founder and owner of Joined-Up Working, supporting businesses to retain employees with Caring Responsibilities who are stressed, not coping and finding this has an impact on their work.
She supports the employees with a range of services to give them specific information, advice, guidance and signposting to specialist services to enable them to cope with the challenges they have.
Sue supports the business employer with a range of services to help them identify employees with Care Responsibilities to advise them on flexible ways of working and support they can provide to keep their valued employees as productive as possible during their challenging time. This saves money for the business in terms of reducing absenteeism, reducing recruitment and training costs and maintains their overall productivity and financial viability.
She refers clients to specialist advisers through both the Care Adviser Network as well as being a SOLLA Affiliate.
Sue works mainly across the East Midlands but also uses Skype as a means of working either on an individual or small group basis.
She has published two handbooks:
- “Dementia: A Practical Handbook for Working People
Caring for a Loved One”
- “Silver Splitters: Advice for Midlife Separation and Divorce”
Her third handbook is at the development stage and will focus on “Illness, Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace”
